for those who have used the various DX/kia p60 cree drop-ins...

There are naturally good and bad ones, throwers and floods, bright and long running; thats not the main question although if anybody has a bright (~100lm) thrower they have seen...

How has the durability been? I love my cree lights, but I picked up a G2 as a "it'll always light up" light to keep around. Would love the brightness and runtime of a cree, but I don't fancy spending more than the cost of the light on a dropin.

Well, the Dereelight ones should be pretty durable and are less then $36.

Not sure about the durability of the DX/KD drop-ins(Shouldn't be too bad but I would trust my life on them).

Those dropins are simple enough that if they work when you first put them in, they're going to keep running. It's just an LED mounted to a piece of aluminum, and soldered to a board.
