The L2D has 2 modes, std with 3 light levels and an sos flash + turbo with the high output and strobe

The L2T just has the 2 light levels high or low

Hope this helps

The L2T is a simplified L2D, and has a tactical (forward clicky) instead of a regular clicky. The L2T and L2T v2.0 are discontinued though.

A couple questions:

1) the L2T body will fit on the L2D head...right?

also,

2) Anyone know where I can get my grubby mitts on a L2T body & tailcap?

Thanks.

Which L2T are you talking about? The Luxeon III one or the V2.0 Rebel 80 one?

The Luxeon III one would be the dimmest and non or the parts are compatible with the newer lights(You can take apart the tailcap and switch the parts, but there is no reason for that).

The Rebel 80 one has a forward clickie and is twice as bright(probably more) then the Luxeon III one and the head is compatible with the L1D, L2D and P2D body.

Both L2Ts have a twist for high/low thing.

The L2D(Cree P4, Q2, Q5, Rebel 100 versions) is the brightest of the bunch. It has a loosen the head for general mode(low-medium-high-sos) and tighten the head for turbo mode(turbo-strobe). Sounds much more complicated then it is.
