It's bright, but didn't live up to my expectation.
Just a little brighter than my 3x cree.
Still a good buy. a must have if you don't have a light though

Yes, every normal person I showed it to is wow by the light ouput.
especially at night against a white wall.
I tell them it's 'military' and they knodded blindingly.
It's a great light and good build. it's just not 500+ lumens.
I don't use it much cuz it's not pocketable.. but bring it out once in a while to compare new lights to it.
it's still the brightest.
stick some quad cree R2 bin and then we're talking output.
