Does anyone use 18650 LifePo4s with Deerelight 18650 Dropins? I'm interested in your experience with their 18650-only dropins that have a 2.8v cutoff. I'm wondering if the output is bright with a LifePo4 18650 and what kind of runtime you get before the 2.8v cutoff occurs.

Where do you find LiFePO4 18650s? Is there an advantage? I thought LiFePO4 has lower voltage? So unless it also has enough increased capacity to yield a larger amount of Wh before reaching the voltage cutoff, there would be no point.

Dealextreme and Kaidomain both have them. LifePo4s are safer. They are around 3.2v and have a lower capacity. But I'm interested in the safety of them currently. I have used some LifEPo4s RCR123s but I kept running into problems where they would both be charged equally but one would drop to like 1.5v and the other would be over 3v. It was strange. So I'm trying to find out if these Deerlight dropins can be properly lit for over an hour on one of DE or KD's LifePo4s 18650s; which would be fine with me. Also the 2.8v cutoff would keep me from running them down too low so it would be keen.
