I think I can provide a decent synopsis of different reflectors,
A SMO is smooth reflector acts as a near perfect parabolic mirror, the most possible light energy from the LAMP is projected in tight beam with low divergence for the most possible throw. Beam artifacts are quite prominent.
A LOP is light orange peel or light stipple and maintains decent throw while removing artifacts and giving a smoother more concentric beam.
A MOP is medium orange peel also known as lightly stippled has a semi textured, yet equally reflective surface, that acts as a parabolic mirror with a smoothing effect, with SMO reflectors beam artifacts from relatively large filaments, and glass abnormalities. A MOP removes most artifacts and evens out the beam more, it creates a floodier beem. More concentric beam than LOP.
A HOP is heavy orange peel also known as heavy stipple has a well textured reflector acts like a MOP reflector, but makes the beam even more floody, and removes all artifacts most even beam with the least throw. Most concentric beam of any reflector.
Hope that helps.
