Best light for my needs? Novatac 120T?

Here is my list of requirements...

MUST:
-about 100 lumens on max - more is better, but I want at least 30 minutes of runtime
-have ability to turn on at highest level as first setting
-have a 'tactical'-style, protruding, forward-clickie (why is that so tough?)
-at least 2 brightness levels (lowest level under 30 lumens)
-1 cell design (if not AA, then MUST be fully compatible with RCR123 [using protected cells is fine])
-run on low-setting for 10+ hours
-reliable and reasonably resistant to shock from a drop

LIKE:
-UCL glass lens
-abundant checkering or otherwise good gripping surface
-pocket clip included
-if it's a CR123 design, the ability to fit in a decent belt carrier
-easy to upgrade to newer LED, when available (maybe I'm dreaming here)

What options are out there besides the pricey Novatac 120T? The Nitecore DI looks real good (I was about to buy it), but I am not impressed with the reliability reports I have been reading regarding the switch.

WHY is it so tough to find a good light with a protruding, forward-clickie switch?!? I have no need for tail-standing!

The Novatac 120T would work well for you OR the new SF L1.

I wouldn't dismiss the Nitecore light...I have it and love it. Carry it more than my Novatac.

Thanks for that suggestion. I have looked at the L1, but maybe I need to look again. It is a good option. Some of my conerns with it.
-lumen output is 65, not ~100 (I do know that SF lumens are "better", but what is the real comparison?)
-it is 50% longer than the 120T
-I'm not crazy about the need to twist for constant-ON

Is the clip removable? Does it use the P60L, so that it is upgradeable?

I will wait to read more about that light or see if an update comes out in the future. I do really like the features.

SMG,

The Novatac and the old HDS EDC both estimate lumen output in a similar way to SF. That is torch lumens or "out the front lumens" instead of the higher and more often seen bulb lumens used by most makers.

I opted for the 120P Novatac because I wanted to set my own levels and features and then I purchased a separate tactical button ($20 extra).

The Kydex Holsters sold by LITEmania are pretty nice.

I have the one for the Novatac and an extra battery. Made very well.

I'm sure you'll be pleased with your light.
