Hi i was wondering if anyone knows which maglite LED upgrade is suitable for 4D running on NiMh batteries because these run on 1.2Vx4 = 4.8v instead of Alkaline 1.5vx4 = 6v

should i get a 3D size upgrade from terralux?

thanks :)

NiMH cells will run at about 5.6V. I would consider buying the 4-cell version, as 5.6V might be too high for the 3-cell and its 4.5V max.

AA-D converters in parallel or in series?

4 3AA - D converters with the batteries in series will give you 14-16v.

Wait, I get what you mean, 1 AA -1D converter. Right?

You should get the 4-6D drop-in form Terralux. Or the Malkoffdevices if you have the money/want the higher output.
