hey guys need help with my cree

so i have a cree c8, little cheap one. but i think something is wrong with the clickie because it flickers and sometimes it will switch to the next mode without me switching it. basically, all i want to do is either mod mine so it is only on hi or off. or find a single mode clickie. i dont need the lo, strobe, and rapid strobe. i was looking on deal extreme but im a noob so i dont know which clickie will fit it.

Start by cleaning the contacts in the head and tail with alcohol swabs, wipe the ends of the body clean, and tighten the tailcap retaining ring. See if that fixes it.

well, after i cleaned the contacts. its doing something else. now every mode is hi, but on the strobe modes they dont actually strobe, they just kind of flicker. its weird. anyway, it doesnt really matter to me because all i care about is a bright beam. any suggestions? or does anyone know of a new clickie?
