All,

Newb here and I just got my Fenix L0D CE today. Quite impressed with the overall quality and output of the light (especially since it runs on just one AAA).

I do have a question that I hope you guys can answer. How can I tell that this truly is a Q4 version as opposed to a Rebel or even the original L0D. There are no markings on the light that I can see that would show which version this is.

Removing the head assemly only shows a "1A" marking on the PC board. So is there any way to truly tell?

TIA!,
Tim

Look at the emmiiter.

Cree, Rebel, and normal Luxeon (and also seoul) are all very different.
You may want to do a search on the different emitters to see what they look like.

Now findin the difference between Cree P4 and Cree Q4 (etc) is a lot tougher...

I bought my black l0d q4 at the fenix-store. There was a small placard on the box. Here you can find the model and specs.
Mine says: LOD CE premium Q4 75 lumens max. :twothumbs
