Police officer looking for a duty light. I like the X300 but if I can swap something nicer than the Lux into a TLR then I will go that route. I've done the DX Cree swaps into a few of my lights but I suspect swapping into a TLR would be more difficult. What would need to be done? soldering? Trimming/grinding? I'm pretty handy but have never done an emitter swap before.
If anyone has done the swap just looking for a level of difficulty. I'd hate to ruin a perfectly good $100 light just screwing with it.
