I hope this is in the right forum; if not, please move.

I'm going to be in the Orange County area (near Fountain Valley) later this week, and I was wondering if anyone knows if Surefire has an outlet store at their facility where people can walk in buy their products. If so, I would like to stop by and pick up a few items. TIA.

I don't know any specifics but yes, Surefire as a retail counter that you can walk into and purchase products. My brother was there once and purchased and E2D. He said that it was kinda neat. Sorry, but I can't give you any more detailed info than that.

I was there just before Christmas '07.

That location is NOT a store nor do they have a retail counter. What is present there is the desk of a receptionist, a small waiting area with a few chairs, a curio cabinet containing a small sample of their product line located at the corner near the windows that faces the parking lot, and various plaques on the the wall opposite the entrance.

Visible behind the receptionist is a typical cubicle-style office setting.

The door is typical industrial glass; the carpets, walls, and cubicle dividers are so mundane in color that I do not even remember.

The carpet is darkened and shows some wear particularly at the entrance.

The receptionist's desk is somewhat disheveled; indicative that several people may be performing those tasks.

The parking is inadequate to accommodate more than a half-dozen visiting vehicles in that part of that Surefire facility.

The building in NOT vividly identified as that occupied by Surefire. Near to the Surefire suite and visible from the street is the Starbucks sign placed higher on an adjacent building.

This Surefire operation will accept will-call orders and warranty returns.

The few representatives of the staff at that location that I have encountered are low-key, casually-dressed, but helpful. Don't expect the glitzy, Hollywood-like attire and accoutrements typified in the hallowed halls of the SHOT show or the glossy, gilded-edged bastion of printed flashlight porn know as the Surefire catalog.:nana:

As OdBm said, You can order on line and can will-call in person. (Still love the tall blonde lady who "fulfills" the order! :D )

Make sure you go to the Newhope facility, not the one on Mt. Baldy Circle:
Surefire, LLC
17760 Newhope St.
Fountain Valley, CA 92708
Check in with the receptionist and ask for a customer service rep. One will come out and take your order. They'll let you fondle any of the lights in the display cabinet if you like. After you make your order, another employee will return with your items in about ten minutes.

Happy shopping!

By chance do they have a kroma in the display case? I would really like to 5 minute test drive one before actually purchasing one. That or a U2 Ultra (not to mention I live in New York State, not California:shrug:)
