DBS V2 quickie

Im going to get a DBS V2 with the Q5 WC. I will get the one with 1S and will also buy 18650 to power it. I will also buy a second pill, because i would like to use the 123's when the power is out and i cant use the charger. Will the 2SM pill work for the newer version of the DBS (V2)?

Also, when i went to their site, there is an option for a DI. Pardon my ignorance, but can someone explain the DI to me?

The 2Sm will work with the DBS v2.

The DI is infinitly variable (hope that is the right term), basically you can set it for any brightness between the lowest and highest output.

I think the 2SM will only have 1 level on the DBS v2. The v2 lost the ability to tighten and loosen at the battery tube which is how you select between high and low with the 2SM.

That's right SteveL, my bad for not mentioning that. There is a 1SM I think that is only 1 level, max.
