I just picked up a new ARC LSH and I noticed there seems to be a soft film over the lens. Is this a protective temporary plastic cover that needs to be peeled off or is this a part of the lexan lens??
Film on ARC LS lens??

The film is just a protective layer that you can either leave on or peel off. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
It does block some of the light, so for optimal output you may want to remove it. The lens is recessed enough to offer a fair amount of protection, and in case it does get scratched, it is fairly easy to remove them with a plastic-polish... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Thanks Bart. I kinda wish they made a Pyrex lens for the LSH.
