I don't think theirs any extra charges, but I REALLY hope their is no problem with people getting their packages.
I just shipped a $650.00 light to someone today at an APO address.......with insurance.

I sent dozens of packages to my son when he was in Iraq and never had a problem. The post office will give you free shipping supplies as long as you are shipping to a member of the military. They even deliver it to you're house.
These are the flat rate boxes that cost around $8 to ship no matter how full you packed them.
