I just got my T1 in the mail and took it to a park were there is no light. I turned it on turbo and there is no way that it puts a beam 200m. Is this normal, or is fenix exagerating?
It really should put nearly 200 lumens out front. I think you're the only one who isn't impressed with the output, so my guess is that there is something wrong with either the batteries, the LED, or the light (maybe it's stuck on low).I just got my T1 in the mail and took it to a park were there is no light. no it is definitly on turbo, im not saying that it isnt bright, but i dont think that it will light up an object 200m that great. yes the batteries are good.
That's my guess as well. Looking at fenix's webpage for the T1; it does seem a bit misleading. Fenix says is throws beam over 200 meters. That's something my malkoff can't even do in a 4d maglite, but it will easily put enough light that far out to light up a reflector. It will illuminate a reflective sign at 200m. Not sure you can read anything more into the distance claim.
