Hopefully what I'm looking for exsists. Here is what I'm looking for.

1: single cell 123 type batt.
2: Batt. has to be in the front, no rear pack.
3: LED with at least 2 levels of briteness, but no more then 3
4: and the obvious brite with good run times.

Any help would be great. I've had no luck with this.

why single cell?

except for single cell, the Streamlight Argo HP seems perfect.

I have it running on a single Li-Ion (17650 fits right in, mine works with 18650) and the 2 level circuit still works good.
Changed to Seoul with original Reflector (cut slightly from behind to get a nice floody light)

PS: even with that 2 CR12 batt compartment, the Argo is very small

I'd prefer single cell only because size and weight are a big issue. I'll have to take a look at the Argo HP. It will be mainly for backcountry hunting trips, and my main light uses 123's and I'd like a headlamp that use's the same so I don't have to carry different size batts. My only other option is to find a AA, or AAA main light and a like headlamp. Thanks for the reply, I'm going to tke a look at the Argo HP.
