ROP-side assistance

We had a snow/ice mixture fall here today making the roads pretty bad.
On my way home tonight I came across a young couple that had lodged their 2wd Isuzu Rodeo in a ditch. We live in a rural area and the roads were otherwise deserted. After pulling over and offering my help, I grabbed a tow strap and my 2D ROP and went to work. The Expedition plucked the little SUV out with ease and the kid thanked me and then asked "Where in the hell did you get that bright M@glite" :laughing:

I got a good laugh out of it.

You should of told him you just put new batteries in it

Or you could tell him it was the new LED version.

Lol, I did mention it wasn't an off-the-shelf light.

That situation reminded me that there's nothing like a bright flashlight when you need it most. A few months ago a close friend of mine had tornado damage to his house and I was stuck using an inferior flashlight, it really motivated me to get serious about my collection again.
