Anyone out there who can compare these two lights ?

I'm somewhat in the market for a two stage light that has a pocket clip. I like the fact that the Deree has it set up as a removable clip, the light can be ordered to handle different power sources.

Fenix of course has a following here and is high on the list.

If anyone has some pictures of the CL1H and can post some comparison pictures to the 6P/G2 that would be great.

I came to the light...

A Dereelight w/ a digital pill (18650 only) has amazing output.

No matter which pill, CL1H w/ textured has around the T1's throw, and CL1H w/ smooth throws a lot better.

http://www.lightreviews.info/reviews.html - great reviews (incl. lux #s and runtime graphs) for the T1 and 6P. The reviewer has noted that he got a broken pill in his CL1H, so disregard all output data for the CL1H. You can estimate #s from his review of an old CL1H, and since the circuitry is the same in the DBS and CL1H you can get the runtime graph from the DBS review.

Fenix makes some amazing lights, but none of them have very good throw. If you want throw, stop looking at Fenix. CL1H definitely has the best throw and of flashlights 130-140 mm, but you may prefer another flashlight's design, or something smaller.

Thanks guys.
Sounds like the Deree is a better all around light.
I would probably order it with both reflectors
While I'm at it, maybe get the BS to use as a weapon mounted light on my rifle.

I'll just have to wait a bit and see.

How is the throw on these lights compared to the BOG drop in or other popular Q5 lights like a Wolf Eyes ?

These are the lux readings I got. I am using a Meterman LM631 Light Meter measured at 1 meter. I waited, 2 minutes before taking the readings. I am using AW's Protected 14500's, AW's Protected 18650 and AW's Protected RCR123's.

I think, the length of the throw is the result of a of a powerful bin, a good energy source and the size and type (OP or SMO) of the reflector. The outputs of similar brand flashlights are near to each other, while the Dereelight DBS seems to be the actual throwmaster. From my point of view, you can buy a Dereelight CL1H without much thinking. The throw of this light will surprise you even with an OP reflector. But for max throw take the SMO. :twothumbs

The Jet-Pro I seems to be dim on ernsanadas pictures. I like to remark for other users, that a Jet-PRO I and a Fenix T1 cannot be compared, because these are different types of light. The Jet-Pro I is a super powerful mini-thrower.

The T1 is a two-mode light, but the twist mode switch doesn't work very well. The beam pattern and brightness are nice, and the light is sturdy. Fenix always seems to have battery issues, but this one seems to run OK on 2X16340 (not 18650). The CL1H is much better designed overall, and it is much more useful, versatile, and upgradeable. It is a tough HAIII light too. For about the same money, the CL1H is a much better investment -- IMHO, the best investment in a flashlight at any price!
