A few (including myself) have tried... doesn't work. I figured I'd just have to change the focal length a bit more than the Seouls, but no go. The Crees won't focus at all, at any distance from the optic. The Crees have a different beam angle. The Seouls work because their beam angle is really close to the Luxeons that are installed in the Coast lights. BUT, the new Coast models coming out are using Crees, so those will be upgradable with new bins that happen to come out.

I modded a 7795 Focus Dimmer with a Cree. It works fine, and it does focus, but I wouldn't call it an improvement over a Seoul.

.... with a Seoul P4 LED. It works great! The head was difficult to unscrew, but other than that, it was a fairly easy process. It is one of my favorite lights because it is focusable AND uses 2 standard AAs. It has much better run times than the flashlights that use 3 AAAs.
