SF E1B and Lanyards?

Call me bad with GoogleFu and CPF. So if someone's posted a thread on this, my apologies in advance.

But....has anyone successfully attached a lanyard to a STOCK Surefire E1B?

This is how I just figured out how to do it. I took off the lanyard clip and simply slipped the lanyard through the E1B clip and tightened it down so it won't slip out. I guess that would make the E1B clip kind of harder to use...but hey, it works if you need to hang this light up.
