surefire EL1 and rechargables

Just bought a used EL1 from a CPF member and want to know if I can use RCR123 3.7 v lithiums. If not will 3.0v lithiums from lighthound work? Last resort would be 123 primaries.

Which head is on it? KL1 or KX1?

I'm not sure but aklikeslites lists it as a EL1 HA WH so I'm guessing it's Kx

Hmm...You should PM him and ask if it's a Cree. Then it'll be KX1 for sure. The problem is, the KX1 won't work with rechargeables, whereas the regular KL1 will.
