After reading a post I went out and bought a Rayovac Extreme for $29 at
K-Mart. Very solid ,nice metallic green color rated at 80 lumens, came
with 2 AA batteries. It is adjustable, a feature I like. I compared it to my
18 month old Fenix P 1D (old Cree) and it is slightly whiter, it has a good
throw and the adjusting gives it a pretty good spill. It is either on or off,
with momentary flash by pressing the rear cap. It also comes with a holster, lanyard and a very useful pocket clip. It's 5 and a half inches
long compared to the Fenix at 2 and three quarters inches long. It
does not have 5 modes, but for looking at the deer in my backyard,
a big buck with his four hoes (I mean does) it does a great job, and at
half the price of the Fenix and AA's I give it 2 thumbs up!
