We all know that the middle man usually doubles the retail price of most goods, and his profit is justified, in part, by good customer service. Well, some small LED manufacturers, like DereeLight, are selling direct via their websites and including free EMS shipping. My last order from DereeLight arrived from China in only four or five days, and they seem to provide better customer service for their products than distributors. Zebralight and LiteFlux also seem to be taking this approach, and I can't help but feel that I'm getting more value for my dollar when I buy direct. What other LED flashlight manufacturers are selling direct over the internet?

The "middle man" in most retail areas is the distributer and the margin they sell the product to the actual retail outlet depends on the product and the number they sell.
It is rare (potato chips being an exception) for the margin to be 100%.
In any event a large company is *rarely* going to sell direct to the end user for less than suggested retail price. For that one sale they might loose a ton of retailers.

Shipping costs them money and you pay for it in the price of the light.

I'd bet a nickel that if you offered to buy 1000 of them, your cost would allow you to sell at the same price they do.
