Where might one buy the newest version of the Arc LS? Is it any brighter than 120 lumens? Can it (And the Arc-AAA) use RECHARGEABLE lithiums?

I checked the arc site. The product's there, but with no buy option.

See the thread just below this one. ETA is <2 months, and max brightness will depend on how much Peter thinks he should tax the batteries.

Ouch, 2 months. I'll have to content myself with an Arc AAA in the meantime.

By the way, can the Arc AAA run off of rechargeable lithium AAA batteries? (1.7V.)
It says non-rechargeable lithium on the site, but I wasn't sure.

AND, judging from your experience with LEDs, if he was to.. Err, Tax the batteries quite a bit, would it be brighter than 120 lumens by any noticeable margin?

1.7V are not rechargeable.
Some have run them with LIons, and apprently you get much more brightness, and much reduced runtime. I use NIMH.

120lm: with the new Arc6, I think 120lm is a shoe-in. Fenix has had >120lm out the window for quite some time, and it's really a driver and heatsinking limitation now, not one of the LEDs. With LIon cells, current drain on the batteries may as well be a moot point, too. I would expect the highest level to well over 200lm, myself...but,t maybe not for very long!
