I have M@g623 but since i cant get the bulb locally i had to try other bulbs. Since Osram 64623 overdriven @15.6v is about 150w, then i think why not replace it with 633 bulb which is a 150w bulb @15v? well i did.
It seems to be as bright as 623 and still has the same paper burning ability like 623 does. The good news is even a freshly charged pack wont insta-flash the 633 which is a bonus.

I might use this 633 as an alternative to 623. Any comment?

thanks.

Where do you find a seller for 64633 bulbs? A google search didn't turn up anything for me :(

I see the average life of a 64633 is 50 hous versus 2000 hours for a 64623. Maybe the 623 would last 50 or more hours at the 150 watts and still be as good or better. I wouldn't be suprised if they were the same bulb with just different ratings.

The greater the rated life of a bulb, the greater the likelihood that it can be overdriven past its rated input voltage. While the 633 is an alternative, I do not consider it a direct replacement.
