I'm a big fan of the Discovery Channel (specifically of the How it's made videos, but the rest is fine too).
However, where I live you can only see it if you have a satellite link. Which is kind of a problem, since I don't even have a television... I don't usually watch live channels, as the only things I'm interested in are movies and anime (and the Simpsons), so my high speed DSL connection does just fine.
But all discovery channel downloads I've managed to find so far are small parts of the show. Ideally I'd like to point my browser to a streaming link and just watch it on windows media player or VLC. Is anything like this available?
Thanks.

Well Discovery does have this: http://video.discovery.com/

But according to that it is only currently serving up:

Petfinder
Flip that House
Smash Labs
Dirty Jobs

The only other way I can think of to get episodes would be to use bit torrent or something to find them online.

I like How it's Made as well. Neat show. Smash Labs.. on the other hand.. I find quite pathetic. If it lives past its first season I will be surprised.

Smash Lab is stupid. It's like Mythbusters with even less science.
