How do you disassemble a M@GlIGHT? ;) Newbie needs help!

Hey Flashlight gods!

I have all the parts to build a MR-16 flashlight how do I disassemble the switch out of the 4 cell M@G? also how hot will it get with a 35 watt bulb in it? I had a friend machine the head to a heatsink... but the switch I have is mostly plastic housing?
