I modded two of these lights and will make no more.
The first one was sold earlier this year, now you have the chance on the second and last one
It has a XR-E module once provided by 4sevens and I put in a MCR16 reflector.
Doing this mod is a big mess because there is finally no space for this reflector.
Things are very close and to bring the refletcor in focus you even have to shorten the head and the batterytube by 3.5 millimeters. Sure you also have to cut the threads deeper into the tube...
So the complete light is also 3.5mm shorter than a standard ION as you can see at the pics
The bezel is opened to 14.5mm what is 2mm more than the original ION has.
The lens is out of acryl because this is more rigid as glass with the opened bezel.
There is now coming out plenty of light at the front, so this light is for all who are loving the Nautilus but woud like to have nearly the same in smaller size...
The price for this unique beauty is $395 shipped registered mail worldwide.
