Removing the pocket clip on SF L1?

I have an L1 here and I was wondering if there was a trick to getting the pocket clip off. id like to get a E1B clip for bezel down carry but I cant seem to get my clip off.

This thread may help you. You use a cord (bootlace or equivalent) to pull it off. Take the O-ring off first or you will damage it, and don't lose the small piece under the clip, as this can fly off and be lost when you pull the clip off.
