I have a G2 with the 6P Aluminum Bezel with Pyrex and FM35 Red nightvision filter. How will the heat dissipation be affected if at all by having the Aluminum 6P bezel covered by the FM35 filter when running the G2 with a 140 lumen cree p4 DX1447 drop in for extended periods of time?

Led's put out most of their heat through the back of the led. An incan light sends most out the front. That is why led's need the heatsinking. If you can hold the light in your hand , and it's not too hot to hold- it will probably be ok. Setting the light down- with no movement is the hardest on it. Cree led's take heat pretty well. If you can- open the drop in to be sure the led is well attached- and maybe has some thermal compound under it.

Good to know that. Thanks. Will the FM35 filter cause any heat dissipation problems on the G2 aluminum bezel?
