Sorry I can't spend a lot of time searching right now so I'm asking you all for opinions. I'm looking for a compact (surefire G2 size) LED that has a good tight beam and 75ft. I just got the 4in1 p2d/l1d from fenix and is great for edc. But I would like a compact thrower thanks for any help.

The DX 6090 dropin is pretty much universally hailed as a great dropin that happens to cost $10, rather than a great $10 dropin. It throws pretty well and fits in surefire lights.

I have my Dereelight CL1H v3 with a smooth reflector putting out 10,000LUX at one meter. The only LED lights I have that can beat that are larger, like the Regalight WT1 (only slightly larger, but only about 3,000-3,500 more LUX), and of course my Dereelight DBS's are in the 25,000-28,500 lux range.

A good p60 style LED drop in with a Cree Q5 or R2 running at around 1A-1.2A and a textured reflector will be in the 6,000-6,500 lux range (on my meter), which would still be fine for 75 feet, and give you a larger spot.

The Fenix T1, or the new Fenix TK10 (should), perform in the 6,000LUX range as well.

Thank you for all the suggestions...those p60 sized drop ins would work on the incandesent g2 and increase the battery runtime?

They will, but many of the high power p60 drop-ins will quickly over heat, and possibly damage the P60 dropin, in the G2 since it has poor heat sinking. A Surefire 6P, or a Dereelight CL1H, would make a better P60 host.

+1 on the Olight T20 Q5. Very slim and easy to pocket.

Also, I have a Dereelight 3SD v3.0 P60 module in a Xtar host. Pretty small and smooth for a 18650 light, good heatsinking and a killer spot with the smooth reflector. Brighter and better beam than the T20. I got the 3 mode version.

+1 for Dereelight Q5 droppins with smooth reflector...actually i think most p60 sized droppins with smooth reflector would work considering they generally use the same sized reflectors but most of the usually come in orange peel though.
