I'd like to know if you have ever tryed to run the tungsram bulb with 9 cells??
fron the LuxLuthor test seems that this bulb can support a ot of voltage...

Yes, but it is a great way to pop at 56580.

You need to make sure the the battery voltage is 11V or less.

Even 8 batteries hot off the charge is 1.4V*8 = 11.2V and could flash a 56580. But 9 batteries hot off the charger 1.4V*9 = 12.6V and will flash a 56580.

I think someone may be interested.

I have just tryed to run the tungsram with 9 elites 1700 with an NTC and not instaflash...
so with DMC package and a soft-starter you can get more lumens.;) (batteries must be rested... best under 12V)

FILIPPO,
I just swapped out the AW soft-start switch with a Kui switch and dropped the price from $210 to $160. If you all want the AW soft-starter switch instead of the Kui switch then the price is still $210. I will update my posting with this info.
