A question about LF2x

Hi friends. I've just received my LF2x. A really well machined and finished light.

One idea. I saw that you can give back the clip to put it as near as possible to the base of the torch. I like it like this.

And the question.... Someone know what this little crome ring is?

The chromed ring is a spacer to be used only in case you fasten the flashlight onto a camera tripod.

Or, in case it's easier for you to understand: l'anello è uno spessore che serve solo quando fissi la torcia sul cavalletto di una macchina fotografica.
