fenix t1 reflector?

So I noticed that fenix-store.com is selling the fenix t1 with a smooth or orange peel reflectors. i am going to assume that the smooth reflector will give it more throw...right? If so I think i may have found my next purchase. Thanks for any input.

I have fenix t1 with smooth reflector.
Compared to OP reflector, the size of hotspot is about the same but more defined.
I don't have any equipment to measure it, but I think more defined hotspot means longer throw.
And there is rings in the beam pattern visible on the white wall.

My t1 with it's smooth reflector seems to out throw my Buddy's with an op reflector but barely. There is a difference but it's not huge

There won't be too much of a difference. Visible but not much.

If you really want more throw, a different light would work better.
