A while back I asked if anyone knew of a light that would take this lens:

Just wanted to tell you that it DOES fit in a Romisen RC-F4 light.

You have to unscrew the emitter module some from the body, to take up the gap, ...but it works great!
There are some subtle rings on the very outside of the spill halo,
but other than that, must say its the best $2.5 I'v spent on my lights....:D

I'll try to get a picture or two.

Did this myself as well in the end after I gave up on the G2 and N3....still I'm not completely sold on this mod tbh. The stock romisen reflector in all 3 of these lights is pretty damn good.

If the collimator was closer to 5~6degrees it would be nice, it's just a little too floody at 8 degrees, and I still prefer the floodier beam from my SSC P4 in a modded RC-N3.

does the body of the RC-F4 have enough thickness to be reamed out to fit a protected 17670 ?
with the optics i think it would be very useful combo

Pics:

The lens is installed in these pics;
The beamshot does not show a hotspot, there is a much more distinct one in person.

~ That's a silver RC-F4

I have having trouble unscrewing the emitter module from the body to take up the gap so instead I used two GITD o-rings behind the lens to take up the gap. Not a perfect fit but it works for now.

:faint: you got yours already?:mecry:
I ordered mine before you and I still don't have mine

haha....well, I live in Canada if that makes a difference. I doubt it though.

Yeah it totally changes the beam but it works fine. No hotspot issues anymore.....because there is no more hotspot! haha

I've been thinkin of getting that optic lens for awhile just to test it out as i've been wanting to get a light that uses optics at a lower price than surefires. Just wondering whats the diameter of the lens? is it 18mm at the widest point where that "trimmable" rim is or is it 18mm right at the front of the lens? i've been tryin to look for 1 thats 18mm at widest point but they all seem to be 20mm+
