You don't say how bright you need, but the Gerber Infinity Ultra is a single 5mm LED, and excellent durability and runtime. The cost is around $20 without shipping, and very reliable.

What about the RC-G2? $11.50 shipped worldwide, no less.

Or the Q5 version being made by lightbug, for "probably below $20".

Probably with the head (reflector) removed, I take it. I think there is another Romisen light with a head piece that can go onto the RC-G2 reflectorless, but don't recall the model or thread.

Yeah, the romisen g2 with the head removed is as floody as they get.
