If you have the module, you would know the heatsinking is crap, here's a way to make it a little less crap.
I noticed even though the module is fatter than bulb base, it's still not large enough to contact the metal component on tower, thus doesn't transfer any heat. The solution is to take some kitchen tinfoil, fold into two layers, wrap around the base of module, then insert into tower, take care don't short things out with tinfoil. Use a little bit of silicone grease between the two layers of tinfoil, between tinfoil and module, tinfoil and tower, and tower and the thing you screw down to hold everything. Now when the module heat up, the tower will do too.
It's not much more metal, but compare to what's there on the module itself it's at least 200% increase, and should make heatsinking a little better.
