CPF- So which one do you like best? Do you have any of them?

I am reminded of an article in woodworking magazine that helped me design some elementary work tables. It introduced the greek concept of proportion. What I remember was that the Greeks discovered that the human eye finds certain proportions pleasing to behold, while some others leave us cold.

When I look at the UltrFire C3, especially the basic black original model, I see something of this concept in practice. The forward portion is something like 3/5's of the length of the flashlight, with the rear portion a pleasing (to my eye) size of something smaller than the forward piece. Could this explain the popularity of this flashlight?

I mean what other flashlight has so many models all at once available? And it must be profitable.. or they would not bring out so many different models.
If I was to design a flashlight, it would be with these design goals in mind.

Do you know if the 2aa extension tube fits the 6 mode C3?

I see it can take 14500s so it can take the higher voltage OK, I assume the body is the same as the standard C3.

They've just been put up at DX today. I don't think anyone has them yet. Still waiting for my SS C3 that I ordered on 30 March !

It should be noted that the sku.12094 makes NO mention of being an UltraFire model.. It appears to be a clone of the stainless steel C3..

Sku.12093 seems to have different machining on the body and tail cap versus the original C3's..

As usual, DX fails to give further descriptions of the items..

I also was checking them out today.......the SS looks to be the exact same as the c3......Im really digging the UF C3 6mode......wish they would come out with a two mode only. And on the SS clone i dont see any gaps unlike the UF SS C3.

I want the three mode version (lo/med/hi) with no strobe, no sos, and no memory. Wake me when it comes out.

Optimized for AA, not 14500. Two level or three level, 100%-20%, or 100%-20%-5%, memory or no memory, but no freakin' strobe or sos puuuhhhhlllleeeeeeeeease!

Oh, and in stainless, of course.

I'll get another stainless single mode, in the meantime.
