Paste these line items into your Opera urlfilter.ini file and speed up your browsing of CPF dramatically. New thread creations, standard replies, the use of smilies and the display of posted images remain unaffected:

Uncheck Show Signatures and Show Avatars under Edit Options in your User Control Panel in order to maximize browsing speed while retaining the ability to view posted images.

This looks like something that will generate new threads in the Questions/Problems/Suggestions forum. Since the features become hidden, members will wonder why they can't do things essential to the operation of the forum.

If you do this, I'd recommend that you keep track of how to reverse it.
