Tonight I dropped my Coast LED Tac Torch 4-Color Recon Flashlight and now the white LEDs don't light. I was trying to figure out how to open the head on it. Has anyone done that?

The red LED stopped working in my COAST Recon 4 color LED flashlight
and I'm stumped also in taking it apart to install a new one. All the other colors still work ok.

The problem is the 4 push buttons
have colored caps that extend out thru the head and can't all be pushed in
simultaneously far enough to clear the interior diameter so the whole electrical
assembly will slide out of the aluminum head piece. It seems impossible for the thing to ever have been put together in the first place.

At least that's my theory on how to do final dis-assembly.
The whole inside wiggles a little so I'm close to freeing it but the button caps
are stopping it.

I opened the Coast 2-color light, which is similar. Clamp rather hard on all 4 buttons at once and the switch assembly should slide out. It looked like it wouldn't help me but squeezing the buttons in did the trick. It's trouble to get the 2-fer switch back in, I shudder to think of the 4-way...

If you manage to get it out, it'll be a quick PCB-soldering job.
