I have 1 Dark Green Sceptre available. These are built with the new style Q5 emmiters and feature a center red LED.

Original thread with pictures, specs, and member bean shots can be found here. These lights used a 2d body's to start with so have smooth portions on the body as well as knurling.

Price is $499 + Shipping

Thanks Mac

Re: Scetpre's

Is the red LED independent of the white ones? Or do they all come on at the same time? How much is shipping to the UK?

These lights are fabulous.
Anyone hesitating should just go for it.
The red center LED makes for a very pleasant beam tint, especially outdoors.

Re: Dark Green Sceptre's

My first run Sceptre was designed for R123s and lives on AW's RCR123s, so the newer ones should, too. Try one -- once you go Mac, you'll never go back. :twothumbs

Yeah, it's the other way around. They are for Rechargeables only. Not designed to work with Primaries.

Re: Dark Green Sceptre's

So... with the red LED is color rendition substantially improved over "normal" white LED lights?

I would say yes. McGizmo started this with his red - eye light and outdoors the red LED made a huge difference.

Re: Dark Green Sceptre's

I got my hands on my first example of Mac's work last week and I have to join the CPF masses that love his mods. Machining, delivery, even packaging were spotless.
