You CAN run the TLE-300 in a 2 or 3 D cell body Maglite. Just substitute the number of D cells for a 3AA-1D adaptor, each adaptor then becomes 4.5v, so in a 2 cell body it becomes 9v and in a 3D body it becomes 13.5v, using standard AA alkalines.

It is made for 4D-6D (6-9v). a 6AA to 2D adaptor would make it possible to run this in a 2D mag.

Does anyone have this item? Is it really worth while? 500lm?

I'm looking for something with this amount of output. Been looking at these types of drop-ins for Mags or possibly some of Elektrolumens Torches.
