1. Use fingernail polish to lightly cover the copper pads (only) on the bottom of the emitter
2. Use Arctic Alumina to epoxy the Rebel LED to your heatsink. Wait overnight to cure.
3. Use an Xacto knife to scrape off the thin enamel covering over the copper traces on the TOP side of the Rebel LED
4. Use tiny-tipped solder iron to pre-tin the copper traces and the wires to be soldered, then solder together:
This has worked successfully for the many dozens of Rebel emitters I have used for home lighting, flashlight mods, and photographic lights.
