I recently picked up all the accessories for my E2O, which has become my favorite flashlight lately; beamshaper, KL1, red and blue filters, clickie tailcap /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif. Out of curiosity I put the beamshaper on the KL1 and it made a great LED task/flood light. Bright and white, but not so bright as to produce glare, diffuse white beam with no hotspot, long runtime, easily carried. I've discovered a hidden jewel. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

My KL1 has a white hotspot with the usual blues and greens in the rest of the beam. The beamshaper basically takes the white hotspot and spreads it out so the whole beam seems white. So, it doesn't really whiten the beam, it just spreads out the white hotspot which overcomes the blue part.

I've never left it on long enough to get really warm yet.
