Hello there I have a few questions for you all

firstly is the output, I notice that the 4-5-6 cell modules can run at 1100mA versus the 1000mA of the 3 cell counterparts. how does this affect the output?

How flexible is the Voltage input? can I stick a 2-3 module in a 4 cell flashlight? (I.e If I had a 3D module, can I use 4C batteries? and will this increase the brightness/runtime?)

lastly does anyone know if Gene plans on updating his line to P7's anytime soon?

1. minimally

2. Don't do it. If you want to run 4C in a 3D body, use the 4-cell dropin.

3. I would ask him.

The 2-3 dropin has a max input voltage spec of 6 volts. It will work well with 4 NiMH batteries which are a little lower voltage than alkalines. Supposedly you could run 4 alkalines too as there's considerable voltage sag. I ran alkalines for a while with no problems, but I use NiMH now in two 4 cell Maglites with the 2-3 module.
