ElektroLumens P7 Mag or thrower.

I'm looking for a light that can throw about 200 yards. I have a lot of lights but no thrower or far distance light unless you count a Dereelight CLS smo.
So I wonder if the P7 would work as far as the distance without the narrow beam. This light is just for fun by the way.

Any advice is appreciated

Just for fun? Build yourself an aspheric Mag mod. The best stock LED throwers do between 20 and 30k lux, whereas a good aspheric will do around 80k.

Because of the comparatively huge 5mm^2 area of emission.

Just for fun, try a Aspherical mod or if you want cheap and don't mind the weight, get a "10 Mil+" Candlepower lamp.
