Hi all, this is my first post. Cool forum!
I am an avid invert enthusiast and go scorp hunting alot. I currently have a cheapo $10 uv led FL from ebay. No name, throws a decent beam about 6' that will light up a scorpion. Im looking for a nice high power UV flashlight that takes either C or D batteries (for longevity on long hunts). I's also looking for somethin 390nm or less (makes the sccorps much more distinct). Ive seen the streamlight 51010 and 18, but they only have small 6 leds and im not sure how far the uv beam goes. Ive also seen the invoas but am not sure of the actual beam distance on them. Any help will be more than apreccitaed, thanks guys (please dont flogg the noob....:shakehead)

I think, with those specs, you would need to build your own UV light.

Try xenopuselectronix.com (sorry, I don't know how to do links). They have what I would consider to be "professional" level UV lights...and they're "professionally-priced" as well.
