Sorry if some of this is common knowledge, but I haven't been around for a while and just recently came back for a visit cause of the McGizmo Ti LunaSol27 Passaround. Very nice light!!! :)

Anyway, I just heard about this SSC P7. From what I have gathered it's NOT a souped up P4, but a 4 die emitter with a bigger footprint. Therefore I can't swap out P4 or Luxeon emitters for this thing, right?

Also, heard about an LED version of the E2D and there being some single level versions out there. Do any of them work with 1 or 3-cells, or do they all require 2-cells to work properly? TIA! :)

1: The SSC P7 is a huge emitter, and is not a direct replacement for a Cree XR-E or SSC P4.

2: An unknown amount of single stage E2DLs were released. SureFire has confirmed this to be a mistake and will replace any single stage lights if the customer wants to. Other than that, not much is known about how the head works, it's voltage range, etc.
