I'm looking for a light with 200-300 lumens out the front with at least 4 hours runtime. I figure it will have to be the size of a 2D Maglight to accomplish the long runtime at 200+ lumens. I'm up for all suggestions, just try to take it easy on my bank account.

Could you just carry spare batteries? It would give you a lot more options, and would be easier to carry also.

3 Crees each running at 350mA in a 2D mag body will last 6 hours at around 300 lumens.
2D mag $20
optics - $5.36 for 5
Emitters - between $15 and $30 total for 3, depending on what you want
Converter boards $20 for 20
