New LED upgrade drop in

I have a new light on the way from DX, the UF Alpha-C1. It comes with the CREE P4 with is OK for now.
I wonder if anybody in the know can say when the next development on bright LED's is going to be available.
Are the 2 brightest choices for a drop in the R2 or Q5 at this time?
